As a Truck Mechanic, you will work in a professional and fully equipped workshop, performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of trucks and trailers. You will have access to modern tools and diagnostic systems, allowing you to perform your work efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel truck engines and related components.
  • Replacing parts such as wheel bearings, gearboxes, filters, brake linings, windshield wipers, and fluids.
  • Inspecting systems for leaks, damage, and wear, including brake, steering, suspension, and transmission systems.
  • Checking tire condition and pressure and carrying out the necessary replacements or adjustments.
  • Inspecting and testing electrical systems, lighting, and battery condition.
  • Documenting all work performed, creating inspection and service reports, and coordinating with team leaders for final approval and billing.
  • You will work independently, but also closely with other skilled mechanics and supervisors who share your commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 years of experience with trucks in maintenance, repair, or overhaul.
  • Automotive education.
  • Strong mechanical and technical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
  • Possession of a valid Category B driving license (Category C is considered a strong advantage).
  • Willingness to work in shifts or occasional weekend overtime.

  • Weekly net salary: €685 – €900, depending on at least 3 years of experience and overtime.

  • Health Insurance: Fully arranged and covered by a Dutch healthcare provider.
  • The company will assist you with the application for the VCA safety certificate and the BSN number.
